Welcome to Allegra Consulting's December Newsletter.

This is our last newsletter for the year - it's hard to believe 2008 is nearly over! This month we are excited to announce that Rose Hodges has joined the Allegra Consulting team in the role of Change Management Forum and Education Manager. This newly created position reflects Allegra's commitment to becoming Australia's Change Management Centre of Excellence including the delivery of innovative and relevant knowledge sharing forums and learning opportunities for change management practitioners. 

We also reflect on the successful year that was and, more importantly, what exciting opportunities lie ahead in 2009!

Before concluding with our Christmas greeting, I would like to thank all our clients, consultants and candidates for contributing to a very successful and fulfilling year.

Rosemary Hodges joins the Allegra Consulting team

I am very pleased to welcome Rosemary Hodges to the Allegra Consulting team.  Rosemary has recently joined us as the Change Management Forum and Education Manager.

Rosemary has an impressive background in Human Resources Management and change strategy development and implementation.  Rose has a track record in implementing people related strategies and initiatives in previous roles including her work with a well known Victorian brand icon and a number of small to medium sized IT organisations.

More recently Rosemary has worked as a Relationship Manager with a Melbourne based consulting organisation focusing on people resourcing strategy and delivery for large change initiatives.

Rosemary has more than 15 years of industry relevant experience and has graduate qualifications in Business Management.

Rosemary will be responsible for developing and delivering a program of change related initiatives aimed at providing our change community and our clients with stimulating and inspiring events, providing personal development opportunities and an insight into world's best practice in change management.

In formulating the schedule for 2009 we are keen to ensure that our initiatives are of key relevance in addressing your needs as change agents, and as such welcome your input on key topics and events for consideration.

The year that was... and the year to come!

Allegra Consulting 2008 - the year in review

2008 has been an exciting and successful year for Allegra Consulting both as a business and as leaders and innovators in engaging our change management community.  This has been highlighted by a number of achievements:

Business Growth - Allegra Consulting has continued to extend its business operations into a range of industry sectors. A mixture of business development and client referral has helped us achieve exceptional growth and diversity. We are better positioned than ever to provide the highest calibre change management consulting and related services to our clients. The demand for our experienced consultants continues to grow and we project the same outlook for 2009.

Allegra Consulting website - In 2008 we launched our new-look website with a focus on showcasing our comprehensive consulting and recruitment services as well as engaging our change management community through relevant new and events and the ability to search and apply for change-related job opportunities.

Change Management Community - One of our key objectives for 2008 was to identify, engage and communicate with our extensive change management community. Through key initiatives which included this monthly newsletter, our new website and events such as the November Workshop, we believe we made a promising start. With the recent addition of Rosemary Hodges to the team as Change Management Forum and Education Manager we have shown our commitment to delivering relevant learning and collaborative events and forums and are ideally positioned to deliver an exciting agenda in 2009.

Global best practice - In October 2008, Allegra Consulting Managing Director Helen Haley became a founding member of the International Council of Organisational Change. The council is made of representatives from Europe, USA, Canada and Australasia and at their inaugural meeting in October and is committed to the following objectives:
1.    To create a forum for the collaboration and exchange of ideas and network with other members of the Council to advance the practice of change management
2.    To influence and elevate the practice of change management world wide
3.    To publish a presentation/paper relating to best practice in change management for the next Knowledge, Culture, and Organizational Change conference in Boston. 

Stay tuned in 2009 for more updates and outcomes from this global team committed to advancing global change management best practice.

What to look forward to in 2009… 

Continued business growth - With so much change happening both locally and internationally, Allegra Consulting looks forward to an exciting and continued period of growth in 2009. Now, more than ever, large organisations need to increase their change management knowledge and expertise. Allegra Consulting will continue to grow and diversify its services to add value to its clients' business needs with a focus on ROI and best practice.

Change community events and education - Lead by Rosemary Hodges, Allegra Consulting will continue to devise and schedule a series of exciting change management events and initiatives in 2009 aimed at increasing engagement and delivering innovative learning and knowledge sharing opportunities across our the wider change management community. Change Manager

We are looking for change managers who have experience in off-shoring projects, mergers and acquisitions and other change projects which have a significant people impact.

To be successful in this role you will have an HR background, excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and the ability to work in a politically sensitive environment. You will have strong empathy, coaching and mentoring skills and strong communication, planning and delivery skills.

Learning and Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Learning and Development Manager to be part of a global organisation.  Reporting to the Organisational Change Manager you will be responsible for providing best practice learning and development programs across this business stream which is undergoing major change. 

You will be responsible for planning, co-coordinating and facilitating learning and development initiatives and programs. You will be required to develop and implement organisational-wide learning and development policies and procedures, consulting, designing and delivering training programs approaches, designing and delivering induction programs, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and greater levels of service through utilisation of technology.
